White series

Layers of transparent white, watery blues and gloss varnish feature in these three paintings. Up and Down explores the fine line between abstract and landscape, showing the view of Droughty Point (Eastern Shore, Hobart). This changing stormy view presents itself to me as I drive home of a late afternoon. This area is often cloaked with impending rain or moody thunderhead clouds. Caught in the Flow is inspired by my husband’s photos of Tasmania’s Franklin River, water froth and bubbles of the fast-moving water making beautiful calm patterns on top. Dream Eddy transfers these water patterns into my dreams, creating webs of delightful rest.
